For 365 days it seems that this sport is in the headlines. Football is great, but it is a lousy god.
I have always loved a starry night. When I was a little girl, growing up in Iowa, I had a view of the heavens that I sadly took for granted. On clear nights, I often looked up at the stars blinking back at me and tried to find the brightest one so I could make a wish.
Harvest Moon is a term that comes to mind about now; it’s the first full-moon after the autumnal equinox, technically. Actually it’s the multiple phases near a full-moon that provides enough light that allows working outdoors after sunset. This was vital before the invention of electric lights and implements that sped up the harvesting process.
You laugh, you cry, you share great stories and memories of years past but once the event or holiday is over, there’s often times a feeling of emptiness. My secret is the chocolate and the robe. There are three other big secrets though that I'll share with you.
Is it a relationship, your health, finances or perhaps an issue with a child? Everybody's got something in their life that is causing worry, fear, doubt, or maybe even denial. What is your something and what can you do to make this unsettling issue go away?
