What starts off as a film relating the life of a typical American family quickly turns to a family struggling to make ends meet after Jack Baker looses his esteemed job. He later takes a job at a burger joint and humbly learns to sacrifice pride for the needs of his family. Through many tough changes, the movie turns to an inspiring and encouraging story of contentment, generosity and God’s hand. As you witness this family encounter the common struggle of loosing a job, doing everything it takes to make it financially, denial and the emotions each member of the family feels, you’ll also witness how a decision to follow Christ in the midst of trials may not change the trial, but change the way the trial is experienced!
Inspired, in part, by a season in George A. Johnson’s (the movies writer and producer) own life, Homeless for the Holidays will shatter preconceived notions of the homeless. Watch as this family learns how to be content in all things and how attitude can create gratitude!
Encouraging movie for the entire family. Available at book stores or online.
